Collaborating on the Future
The Department of Landscape Architecture's annual WreckShop - a student-coordinated multi-day conference - is a critical opportunity to connect students with high-impact experiences that enrich their education and to prepare them for success in internships and after graduation. The event brings dozens of landscape architecture firms to campus and encompasses a series of networking, professional development, and collaborative opportunities.

Thursday, Oct. 24
Thursday afternoon’s session features a lecture series led by Clayton Bruner, Associate Principal at SWA in Houston, and David Maida, Principal with GGN with Seattle in the Student Union Building’s Escondido Theater. Later that evening there will be a welcome reception, hosted by Anova, Hunter and USA Shade, at Miguel's Restaurant in Lubbock.
Friday, Oct. 25
Friday’s program is highlighted by morning registration and breakfast, followed by a Firm Expo from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. and a portfolio review from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Texas Tech Dairy Barn. The reviews provide students with an opportunity to showcase the work they are passionate about and demonstrate how their skills and experiences have evolved over time. Meanwhile, professionals will have the chance to offer constructive feedback, engage in meaningful discussions, and gain insight into the students' creative processes.
