scholarships

The Vernacular Music Center is committed to fostering and celebrating student excellence. As part of that mission, we make a range of unique scholarships available. These include:

• The VMC Endowed Scholarship: funded by benefactors: awarded to one recipient per academic year, in recognition of excellence in scholarship, performance, and contribution to VMC mission.
• The VMC Ensemble Scholarships: funded by the VMC, awarded to three recipients (one per VMC ensemble) per academic year, in recognition of excellence in performance and contribution to VMC mission.
• The VMC Incentive Scholarships: a unique collaboration between the VMC and partnered studios within the School of Music, particularly intended to encourage new students, accepted at Texas Tech, to participate in VMC ensembles. Three awarded per year.
