Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges - SACSCOC

Texas Tech University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Texas Tech University also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Accreditation Across Campus - Institutional Accreditations by Department and Program

SACSCOC requires that, "The institution (a) represents itself accurately to all U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting agencies with which it holds accreditation and (b) informs those agencies of any change of accreditation status, including the imposition of public sanctions."
