• Plan a trip during another time of the semester and check out what other events are happening around Lubbock and on campus.
• Consider visiting during Homecoming Week to experience other Texas Tech traditions.

Frequently Asked Questions about Family Weekend 

✅ Do I have to "Check In" for Family Weekend?
No, you do not have to attend the "Information and Texas Tech Parents Association (TTPA) Check-in" event to participate.  Do come see us if you have questions, would like information about Family Weekend, or if you need to pick up pre-purchased items from the Texas Tech Parents Association. 

😰I ordered items from the Texas Tech Parents Association but I don't arrive in time for TTPA Check-in.  How will I pick up my items?
We recommend you have your TTU student pick these up for you.  Check your email for your receipts from TTPA for the items you ordered and forward to your student. 

📱🎟️How will I receive football tickets?
Texas Tech uses mobile ticketing.

👨‍👩‍👧 Can my student sit with us at the game?
Only if you purchased a ticket for your student. Students receive free admission to the game with their student ID, but they must sit in the student section on the East side, lower level of the stadium.

♿ How do I request ADA seating for the game?
For ADA seating accommodations, please call the Texas Tech Ticket Office directly at 806-742-8324.

🔄 Can I buy resold football tickets safely?
Yes, but only through Texas Tech’s official resale partner, SeatGeek. We strongly discourage buying tickets from other resale platforms or from posts on social media.

🕒 What time is kickoff?
Kickoff time will be announced closed to the week of the game. 

📅❌ What if my family cannot attend Family Weekend?
We understand not everyone can attend. Visit your student whenever it's convenient for you! Check out the Academic & Event Calendars for suggestions of what to do when you visit.
