The 2026 College of Education Family Weekend experience will invite students and their families to spend time together in the College of Education through a casual, come-and-go courtyard gathering. The courtyard will serve as the primary gathering space with food, outdoor games, a family keepsake activity, seating, and opportunities to connect informally with College of Education faculty, staff, and students. Rather than following scheduled activities or classroom rotations, families will be encouraged to experience the event at their own pace. Students can introduce their families to the people who are part of their college experience, enjoy activities together, and explore the College of Education building and spaces that are meaningful to them.

Kick off Texas Tech Family Weekend with the Texas Tech Parents Association at our Family Weekend Kickoff Dinner!  This come-and-go dinner will feature beef and chicken fajitas, special guests, and a fun photo booth to capture memories with your Red Raider!

All attendees over the age of three must have a dinner ticket. This popular event will sell out, so don’t delay—purchase your tickets early!

Join us for the CoMC Alumni & Family Tailgate on Saturday, Sept. 26, before Texas Tech takes on Sam Houston! Students & families are invited to enjoy the game-day atmosphere on the CoMC South Lawn. Tickets are just $5 and include admission, a CoMC car decal and a live broadcast of the game. Mijo’s food truck and alcoholic beverages for guests 21+ will also be available for purchase.
