Orientation Advising & Registration

Students preparing for Red Raider Orientation are often curious about the courses they will be selecting and eventually enrolling in. While PPHC advisors will discuss big-picture, long-term sorts of things, during orientation we are primarily focused on the classes students will take their very first semester at Texas Tech University. Planning, advising, and registration for subsequent terms will be ongoing during Fall and Spring semesters.

During scheduled Red Raider Orientation sessions, the PPHC team typically advises students to identify 1) a prerequisite science course and 2) the rest of their schedule, which usually comes from the Texas Core Curriculum and/or possible major courses.

Below is a table of typical course recommendations for the first semester of each of our ten pre-health designations:
