Levi Johnson obtained a BA (2009) and MS (2012) in mathematics and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership Policy (2023) from Texas Tech University. In 2012, he received one of two Hardwick Fellowships awarded by the Institute for Studies in Pragmaticism. Levi has been an active member of the Institute's Interdisciplinary Seminar on Peirce since its inception in 2011. He also has interests in the use of C.S. Peirce's Existential Graphs and technology in mathematics pedagogy.

Levi also serves as the Director of the Texas Tech University Center for Transformative Undergraduate Experiences (TrUE).
