Established in 1980, the Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest honor the Lyons School of Accounting bestows on its graduates. Presented annually, the award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a record of distinguished service and extraordinary achievement in their professional accounting careers, contributions to society, and continuous support of the School.

Larry Autrey received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University in 1984, followed by a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics from Abilene Christian University.

LeeAnn Hinkle

LeeAnn Hinkle received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 2000. As a third generation Red Raider, she enjoyed participating in Tech traditions during her time as a student on campus, serving as member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and working for the Director of Housing and Dining.

Terry Lyons

Terry Lyons

Terry Lyons received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas Tech in 1980. Upon graduation, Terry joined the Fort Worth office of Ernst and Whinney (now EY) as an auditor and became a licensed CPA. During his time as an auditor, he worked with clients in the insurance, banking, and hospitality industries.
