Supplemental Instruction

SI Sessions have ended for the Spring 2020 semester.

Summer I SI Sessions will begin on Wednesday, June 3 via Zoom.

All students enrolled in courses with a SI Leader will receive an e-mail at least 24 hours before their first session of the week. Anticipated SI courses for Summer I include: ACCT 2300 - Financial Accounting, CHEM 1307 - Principles of Chemistry I, CHEM 1308 - Principles of Chemistry II, CHEM 3306 - Organic Chemistry II, MATH 2300 - Statistical Methods, ME 2301 - Statics, ME 2322 - Engineering Thermodynamics I, and ZOOL 2403 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I. Supplemental Instruction offers free, peer-led review sessions for historically difficult courses. SI Leaders, are peer students who have demonstrated academic mastery in the course, prepare weekly review sessions by attending lecture, taking notes, and meeting with the course instructor. Sessions offer guaranteed study time and additional support outside of the classroom.

Research indicates that students who attend SI sessions on a regular basis earn half to a whole letter grade higher than students who do not attend SI sessions.
