Thomas Kay

Assistant Director

I'm a Texas Tech alum originally from Hutto, Texas. After graduating with bachelor's degrees in History and Theatre Arts, I earned a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration. I have been part of the life coaching team since 2016 as both an undergraduate student assistant and full-time staff member.

When working as a student assistant, I discovered a passion for supporting others throughout their time at Texas Tech. The trajectory of my life changed when I first experienced life coaching. I immediately knew that becoming a coach was the best way to support, encourage, and empower others on their growth journey.

Outside of work you can find me experimenting with new recipes, hanging out with my family, obsessing over sports, and running.

Coaching Style

My coaching style is centered on helping people deepen their quality of self reflection and increase their belief in themselves. I pride myself on creating a safe space where you feel noticed, you authentically express yourself, and you own your decisions. Those who work with me can expect a sounding board, an encourager, and someone who draws attention to the things often overlooked.
