Leadership Training and Follow-up Conference

What is my commitment?

You are committing to:

  • attend both training sessions and stay for all the training (Please do not plan to leave early!)
  • complete a Leadership Challenge Project to be presented at the follow-up conference
  • pay up-front for your transportation, parking, food to attend the training sessions. You will be reimbursed once receipts are submitted to TTU. Your hotel is paid for in advance by TTU. If you are driving, you will be reimbursed according to Texas state travel guidelines.
  • Make your own airline reservations (economy) so that you arrive on time for the training and conference and remain until completion of training and follow-up conference. Hotel reservations for 3 nights will be made by TTU project staff.
  • inform us at least 3 weeks in advance if you cannot attend a training session as we will need to cancel your hotel room reservation.
  • complete all forms for the application, registration, and evaluation of different aspects of the Leadership Challenge Project.
  • participate and learn new skills.

Mentoring Program

What is my commitment?

You are committing to complete a Leadership Challenge Project. This project will be formulated during your November Leadership Training. From November-March you will participate in one meeting per month with the mentor over Zoom to discuss your progress concerning your project. Each month, you will complete a short form to share with the group regarding your progress and challenges toward completion of the project. If you miss a meeting, alternative plans will be discussed. You will share your Leadership Challenge Project with your peers in the follow-up conference.
