Adding the TechDrive module to your RaiderLink portal.

Step 1: Go to the web site www.raiderlink.ttu.edu

Step 2: Enter your eRaider username and password and click Login.

Step 3: In the top right-hand corner, click on the Turn on Preferences icon.  The icon looks like two levers (purple and blue).

Step 4: In the "User Preferences Actions" box, click on the Add Content button.

Step 5: You will now be in the Content Subscriber.  In the Applications Category, find the option titled TechDrive.  Under TechDrive, click on the Subscribe to this channel link.

Step 6: You must now choose where to place the TechDrive channel.

Your current layout will be shown and anywhere that is an option for the placement of the channel will be marked with a flashing orange/gold icon.

To place the channel, click on the placement icon in the location where you want TechDrive to appear.

For example, in the image below, clicking on the shown placement icon would put the TechDrive channel above the Bookmarks channel.

Step 7:
Once you have placed the TechDrive channel, click on the Save Changes button in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 8:
Once you have saved your changes, click on the Turn Preferences Off button in the "User Preferences Actions" box to return to the default Raiderlink layout.

Step 9:
Your TechDrive channel should now appear in the location that you specified earlier.  You will need to read the User Agreement and click on I Accept before the channel will be activated.

Step 10:
Once you have activated the TechDrive channel, it will appear and will allow you to upload and download files from your TechDrive through the Raiderlink Portal.

Uploading to the TechDrive storage area.

Step 1:  Click the Browse button, and find the file you want to upload.

Step 2:  Select the file, click on the Open button.

Step 3:  Then click the Upload File button in the channel. Your file could take a few minutes to upload (depending on file size).

Downloading files from the TechDrive module.

Step 1:  Locate the file you want to download from the TechDrive to your local machine.

Step 2:  Click on the filename.  A dialog box will give you the option to open or save the file.  Click on Save. A dialog box prompting to either open or save the file. Choose save.

Step 3:  A dialog box will now give you the option to pick the target location for saving the file (you may choose to save on your local machine, removable media, etc.).  Once you have selected the location, click Save. A dialog box allowing the selection of the location to save the file.

Step 4:  Your file will now be downloaded.  Once the file has been downloaded, you can choose to either Open the file, Open Folder which will open the containing folder, or Close the download window without opening the file.
