FCS Certification Resources

  • The Curriculum Center for Family and Consumer Sciences offers resources to study for the Family and Consumer Sciences Certification exams. The resources include eight reference e-books; reference book summaries; practice questions with answer key. The e-books are available online with the purchase of a subscription.
  • A six-week subscription to the FCS certification resources (8 reference e-books) is available for $75.00. The subscription may be purchased with a valid credit card number, cash or check. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Please make checks payable to The Curriculum Center. In the memo portion of the check, write FCS Certification Resources. If paying with a check, the subscription will not start until the check is received.

  • These e-books do not represent the only references to be used as study material. Use of these e-books does not guarantee the successful completion of the test. The books listed below DO NOT cover Standard 4 – Nutrition, Wellness, and Food Science or Standard 6 – Consumer Resource Management. You will need to find other resources to study for these standards. A list of resources for each of the standards covered on the exam can be found in the Texas Candidate Information Bulletin and Study Guide from The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS).
