Texas TEch Outreach & Engagement
Texas Tech serves a region of the U.S. that is unparalleled in size and complexity, and leads the state of Texas in a significant area of institutional responsibility known as "Community Engagement." At Texas Tech, we believe that community engagement is "the partnership of university knowledge and resources with those of the public and private sectors to enrich scholarship, research, and creative activity; enhance curriculum, teaching and learning; prepare educated, engaged citizens; strengthen democratic values and civic responsibility; address critical societal issues; and contribute to the public good." * We value our commitment to further outreach and engagement with our communities in ways that enrich both our academic mission and our communities’ well-being.
We will expand our community outreach, promote higher education, and continue to engage in partnerships in order to improve our communities and enrich their quality of life. Texas Tech invests in Texas and its communities through educational access for children and adults, basic and applied research addressing the most pressing problems of society, and activities and services—bringing the best of TTU’s resources to people and communities throughout Texas and the world.
