Community-engaged Learning
The Office of Outreach & Engagement is launching a university-wide Community-engaged Learning (CeL) initiative designed to embed high-impact practices into coursework across all colleges, departments, and divisions at Texas Tech University. CeL integrates meaningful engagement with external communities into academic learning, helping students deepen their understanding of course content while cultivating civic responsibility. This approach aligns classroom learning with real-world needs, emphasizing social impact through sustained, collaborative, and reciprocal partnerships. Through CeL, students work alongside community members to address complex social challenges and co-create solutions, resulting in transformative outcomes for both students and the communities they serve.
