Societal Impact Fellows
In Spring 2025, the Office of Outreach & Engagement launched its inaugural Societal Impact Fellowship to support faculty and staff committed to applying their research, teaching, and outreach to address real-world challenges. Fellows were selected through a competitive application process based on their demonstrated dedication to public-impact work to address real-world challenges. Through this fellowship, participants receive support to enhance the public impact of their work through community partnerships, public policy, social innovation, or other forms of engaged scholarship.
The 2025 Spring Semester cohort was selected with a specific emphasis on climate change issues.
Program Duration: Semester-long (January 24 to May 9, 2025)
Time Commitment: Weekly 2–3 hour sessions on Friday mornings
Participants: Open to faculty and staff across TTU and its other locations (e.g.,
El Paso), working in areas tied to climate change or broader societal concerns today.
