8/3/2020: The Psychology Clinic will resume in-person services on Monday, August 24. We will continue to offer telepsychology services as well for the foreseeable future. Prior to receiving in-person services, an Informed Consent for In-Person Psychological Services During COVID-19 Public Health Crisis must be on file with our office. Your current therapist will provide you with the form, so you can return the form prior to your arrival. The complete Clinic Plan for Return to In-Person Services can be found here. We request you review this plan prior to your visit to ensure you are aware of the updated policies and procedures. Please note, masks are required in the Department of Psychological Sciences and within the Psychology Clinic. Questions about the re-opening can be directed to the Clinic office.
7/12/2020: The Clinic is continuing to offer brief, confidential counseling services to frontline
health care and emergency workers in Lubbock and surrounding areas responding to the
COVID-19 pandemic. A flyer for this program can be found here. We are offering a streamlined intake process and up to 6 pro bono (free) individual
psychotherapy sessions to eligible workers and trainees during the pandemic. Eligible
individuals include health care workers (doctors, nurses, physicians assistants),
trainees (medical residents, nursing students), emergency services (police officers,
firefighters, EMTs) and others who work in a health care environment (lab/testing
staff, administrative support staff). If you're interested in this program, please
complete the screener here.
7/1/2020: Due to COVID-19, the clinic will continue to provide only telehealth services through at least some time in August. When we return to in-person services, telehealth will remain an option for the foreseeable future. An opening date and new safety procedures will be announced in due time.
