iLaunch Competition

Compete in Texas Tech's own "Shark Tank" for $10,000!

Jump into the Shark Tank in Fall 2024!

iLaunch is a pitch competition to identify, grow, and launch startup companies. The competition prepares the entrepreneur for future success in launching a business. The competition is based on the Business Model Canvas. Submissions are evaluated by entrepreneurs, faculty, investors, and staff using the iLaunch scorecard. The top 10 finalists will be mentored and advance to the iLaunch Competition Event where competitors present to "sharks".

Who can apply?

To apply, you must be 18-years or older. Not affiliated with Texas Tech University? No worries! The application is open to the public.

Why should you apply to compete?

The art of the pitch is an essential skill that every entrepreneur must possess, and practice makes perfect. Plus, check out the prizes.

Prizes:

1st Place: $10,000

2nd Place: $3,000

3rd Place: $1,000

Applying to the competition is a simple, three-step process:

Step One

Review the iLaunch Guidelines that'll tell you the rules, eligibility requirements, how the competition works, and what you need to apply. Required documents: a pitch presentation, a completed Business Model Canvas, and a video link.
