Sustainable Design Faculty Grants
Our Spring 2021 SustainableDesign Faculty Grants cycle is now open! VentureWell awards up to $30,000 grants to colleges and universities for the purpose of strengthening existing curricular programs and/or building new courses and programs that engage student teams in developing and pursuing scalable solutions to real-world needs through innovation and entrepreneurship. This cycle will support faculty and staff who are committed to cultivatingI&E dedicated to positive social impact and environmental sustainability and will integrate sustainable design concepts tools, and frameworks into theirI&E curriculum.

- July 2021 – final decisions and notifications
- August 2021- funds disbursed and grant start date
- Fall 2021 – Green Launchpad Educators Workshop (GLP; more details below). Please note: due to COVID, the GLP workshop is planned to be offered fully online at a cost of $2,000 per faculty member; a teaching team of two faculty members are required to attend the GLP workshop. Date TBA.
- January 2022 – As a follow-on to the GLP workshop, a Sustainable Design Community of Practice will be launched (SD CoP; more detail below); details TBA.

E-Team Grant Program
Apply now to unlock up to $25K in grant funding and the training, you need to launch your invention! The E-Team Grant Program supports early-stage innovator teams that are developing science and technology inventions addressing critical social, health, and environmental challenges. In addition to receiving grant funding of up to $25K, selected teams are accepted into the Pioneer workshop, which offers them the training and mentoring needed to bring their high-impact solutions to the world! Pioneer is designed to build confidence and entrepreneurial skills in students as they explore essential topics like customer discovery, intellectual property, and business model validation. Teams will work closely with our dedicated teaching staff and collaborate with peers from across the country as they map out the path for bringing their invention from lab to market. E-Teams receive continued coaching and mentoring after they take part inPioneer, as well as national recognition through the VentureWell network.
