In 72 hours you will pitch ideas, form teams, and receive expert mentorship, gain hands-on startup experience that would normally take months to acquire. Whether you're new to entrepreneurship or looking to sharpen your skills, it's a chance to network, innovate, and collaborate with diverse individuals from across the University. No business idea? No problem - bring your skills and join a team to elevate an idea. With a focus on creativity, teamwork, and fast-paced learning, Red Raider Startup Weekend is your gateway to fast-tracking your entrepreneurial journey.

When and where is the program?

The Fall 2025 Red Raider Startup Weekend will take place at the Texas Tech Innovation Hub from Friday, September 26th to Sunday, September 28th. The program is hosted twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. 

Who can attend?

This program is open to public. Not affiliated with Texas Tech University? Not a problem, everyone is invited! 

Don't have a team?

We've got you covered! You can join and recruit members to a team on the first night of Red Raider Startup! Teams come together around ideas shared on night one!

Don't have an idea?

No worries! We'll have a pitch-off and you'll get to hear several ideas before joining a team. Got an idea already? Awesome! Pitch your idea and lead your team to victory!

NOW AVAILABLE! Red Raider Startup Digital Certification Badges

The TTU Innovation Hub now offers digital badges for qualifying Red Raider Startup participants – a verifiable, shareable credential that represents skills in generating a commercializable innovation idea, team formation, customer discovery and product pitch presentations.

Badges are issued through the Accredible platform and adhere to the Open Badge Format, and can be displayed on LinkedIn, email signatures, personal websites and online resumes.

Cost: $5.00 per recipient
