The Texas Tech Accelerator is a one-year program for early-stage startups ready to move faster. Selected teams receive funding, experienced mentorship, hands-on workshops, workspace and access to the Innovation Hub’s entrepreneurial network.

Seed Funding

Receive up to $40,000 in seed funding, subject to a 2% success fee upon a triggering financial event as defined in the official program rules.

Expert Mentorship

Work with experienced entrepreneurs, industry leaders and investors who can help sharpen your strategy and strengthen your company.

Hands-On Training

Build skills in go-to-market strategy, fundraising, business operations, leadership and scaling through focused monthly workshops.

Powerful Connections

Gain workspace, business resources and access to the Innovation Hub’s network of founders, mentors, partners and potential customers.

Who Should Apply?

We’re Looking for Startups Ready to Grow

Have a bold vision and an innovative solution.

✓

Are at the prototype, minimum viable product or early-revenue stage.

✓

Are ready to scale with expert guidance and a supportive network.

✓

Are owned and operated in Lubbock or the surrounding areas.

✓

Have founders who are 18 years or older and are U.S. citizens or green card holders.

✓

Have preferably validated the market need through a regional NSF I-Corps program.

Not affiliated with Texas Tech University? No worries. Applications are open to eligible entrepreneurs in Lubbock and the surrounding areas.

Don’t have a formed company? Not a problem. The program will help guide you through the business formation process.

Three Steps to Submit Your Application

Review the Requirements

Read the TTU Accelerator Program Guidelines and FAQs to understand the eligibility requirements, selection process and official program rules.

Required application materials:

Completed application questions in Reviewr
Presentation deck
Resume of the primary applicant
Timeline to Minimum Viable Product
Budget for $40,000 in funding
A demonstration showing how the technology, product or service will work

Examples: A physical prototype demonstration, phone app wireframe or storyboard, process diagram, service layout or video demonstration.

Complete the Reviewr Application

Create a profile in the Reviewr application portal, answer the application questions and upload all required supporting materials.

Applications are due February 11, 2027 at 11:59PM.
