Admission to all departmental programs follows general university admission policies except in the case of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.). Students seeking a B.F.A. degree will be admitted initially as a B.A. candidate. In the fall of a B.F.A.-seeking student’s sophomore year (or the first semester in the case of transfer students who have 60 or more earned hours), he or she may audition for admission into the B.F.A. program provided all pre-requisites have been fulfilled and the student has discussed his or her programmatic intent with the department's undergraduate advisor. If the student is admitted into the B.F.A. program and to continue in the program, he or she must pass a review at the end of each spring semester until the program is completed. If a student is not admitted, he or she may be allowed to audition a second time the following fall semester, provided that the student has not exceeded 90 earned hours at the time of the second audition.
