Welcome! We are excited that you are joinining us for the upcoming semester! If you are already admitted to Texas Tech and have not yet auditioned or submitted a portfolio for review, please see our Admissions Page for specific requirements based on your program of interest. If you have already been admitted to your program of interest through audition or portfolio review (or you are planning to attend under the BA Theatre Arts Program), please check out the Red Raider Orientation Homepage for next steps. You will meet with an academic advisor for your program to discuss course information and schedule your classes at Red Raider Orientation. Texas Success Initiative (TSI)
As a new incoming student to Texas Tech University, you may be required to take TSI.
Students who are required to enroll in TSI courses will receive notification prior
to their RRO session via their TTU email. Students are advised to complete TSI testing
before attending Red Raider Orientation. Otherwise, you will be required to test when
you attend Orientation and your registration for classes may be delayed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Am I Admitted to the TCVPA?
Most majors in the TCVPA require a separate application or admission to be considered. All degree programs, with the exception of the BA Theatre Arts, require an application to their program of interest through RaiderConnect. A performance audition may also be required with admission not guaranteed. Please contact the advisor based on your program of interest for more details.

Your advisor is your go-to contact as a student at Texas Tech. We have a dedicated academic advisor for each of our schools. You will meet with them during your RRO session, but feel free to reach out to them before then!
