Attention Faculty: Award Nomination Procedures

Some awards require a single nomination by the College, along with additional procedures and/or time to gather supplemental materials such as internal or external letters of recommendation. For these awards, you will see three distinct deadlines:

Nomination Deadline to the College
Dossier Preparation & Compilation Period
Final Submission Deadline to the Provost’s Office

In these cases, nominations are sent to the College via School Directors. The College supports the nomination selection, communicates decisions to nominees, supports dossier preparation, and submits finalized dossiers to the Provost.

Awards with an open call typically indicate unlimited submissions, and normally faculty members can submit directly to the Provost’s office. These awards are identified by listing only one deadline, typically the Provost deadline.

Faculty Development Leave

Nomination Deadline to the College: Speak with School Director. Submit complete Director approved proposals including Faculty Development Leave Application Form (Attachment A) and Faculty Development Leave Rating Form (Attachment B – reviewed and signed by Director/Chair) to Associate Dean, Ivy Walz by September 19, 2025.
In accordance with OP.32.29 a TCVPA Faculty Development Leave Committee will serve in an advisory capacity to the dean.

The internal nomination deadline for the Horn Professorship is Friday, May 8, 2026.
