Charles E. Maedgen Jr. Theatre

The Charles E. Maedgen, Jr. Theatre, located on the east end of the School of Theatre & Dance Complex, opened in 1964 and has hosted over 200 productions and many theatrical competitions. Extensively renovated in 2022, the 294-seat proscenium theatre features the latest lighting, sound, and projection technology complete with an ETC Apex light board and more than 350 ETC LED series lighting instruments; a 28-speaker multizone sound system with an Allen and Heath digital board; and two Barco 4K front and rear projectors as well as in-house projection capabilities.
