Expect the unexpected in the 2024-25 Theatre & Dance season!
The season begins with the sharp new comedy The Antelope Party which critics describe as “raw, funny, suspenseful, gloriously unconventional, thought
provoking, and slippery in its intentions.” Then be swept away by Steve Martin and
Edie Brickells bluegrass musical Bright Star and the annual return of Fall Dance Festival which showcases the extraordinary choreography and talent of our fourth-year dance
students.
Inspired by ideas of nostalgia, the endurability of human relationships, and the memory
held by spaces and places, the spring kicks off with The Ghost Project, a devised performance originated by students in our summer Marfa Intensive program.
Audiences will once again be captivated by DanceTech, featuring choreography from Arizonas foremost salsa dance teachers David Olarte
and Carla Leon, award-winning choreographer Helanius J. Wilkins, and the TTU dance
faculty.
And what better way to close a season than with the world premiere of The Nerve of Minerva by longtime friend and TTU alum Jaston Williams and Joe Sears, their first collaboration
since the Greater Tuna plays, with music by Allen Robertson? For immature audiences of all ages, this barnyard
musical comedy will have you singing the songs long after you see the show.
Subscribe to all six shows for only $75 and, as a bonus, be first in line to purchase
half-price tickets to see the renowned Jo Harvey Allens “hilarious, ingenious, and
spellbinding” one-woman show, An Evening with Jo Harvey Allen.
