Texas Tech University

2223season
This year, we want to recognize the generosity of our administration, granting agencies, audiences, and donors with a theme that captures our feeling each time you come to see us: Welcome Home.

With the renovation of the Maedgen Theatre—highlighted beautifully by our April production of Sweet Charity—our new Theatre & Dance Complex is complete. Knowing the immense talent of our students, and now, what our new spaces can foster, we chose a lineup for our 2023/2024 season that will show off both— using all the spaces in our spectacular new facility.

This space belongs to all of us.

From classic tales of betrayal and lust to provocative family dramas to a zany disco that becomes the unwitting target of Greek gods who love nothing more than to create havoc, this season is one that I know you will enjoy.

In addition to our 6-show lineup, we will fill these new spaces with several “outside-the season” events like Frontier Festival, celebrating new student-driven works; the New Canon Reading Series, an engaging look at today's newest plays and playwrights; and a host of other surprises. Go ahead! Get a subscription. It's ridiculously inexpensive. And join us for another great season of theatre and dance.

Welcome home, indeed.
