Department of Interdisciplinary Arts
JT & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts
Who We Are
The arts are not silos or ivory towers - their dynamic practices intersect with each other and with non-arts disciplines as well. The Department of Interdisciplinary Arts (DIA) was established in 2023 to provide better support for longstanding interdisciplinary degree programs and for student and/or faculty collaborations that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries. Graduates of our interdisciplinary arts programs find careers in creative arts production, academic scholarship, non-profit administration, arts criticism, and many more fields.
