Arts Media and Technology (BA-AMT)
Explore Your Interests
The Bachelor of Arts in Arts Media and Technology is a unique undergraduate program for students who wish to pursue careers in arts media and technology by integrating disciplinary content in the arts with non-arts based specializations.
Build Your Program
The BA-AMT degree allows students to build a degree made up of three minors.
Two of the minors are selected from those available in the Talkington College of Visual
& Performing Arts (TCVPA) in Art, Music, Interdisciplinary Arts, Theatre, and Dance.
The third minor is selected from outside of the TCVPA; those currently available are
Advertising, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Creative Media Industries, and Interior Design
The BA-AMT curriculum includes an interdisciplinary core curriculum that juxtaposes,
integrates, and synthesizes the selected minors or areas of specialization for each
student.
Through integrating arts and non-arts courses, students build a competitive portfolio
poised to meet the demands of 21st century careers. The B.A. in Arts Media and Technology
prepares students for immediate entry into careers in creative media industries, and
situates students for success in graduate or advanced degrees in arts media or interdisciplinary
fields. The three areas of specialization must each consist of a minimum of 18 hours
in the chosen discipline, for a total of 54 credit hours.
