Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

Students in the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts (TCVPA) Bachelor of Arts (B. A.) degree plans develop their creative skills within art, dance, music, or theatre. B. A. degrees are offered with concentrations in art history, studio art, dance, music, theatre arts, and interdisciplinary arts studies.

The TCVPA B. A. is designed to be flexible, providing students a broad liberal arts education while engaging with specific genres and subject matter including musicology, music theory, performance, and composition. Capstone projects in certain B.A. plans prepare students for professional careers in the visual and performing arts industry by producing substantial work mentored by a faculty member that is the culmination of initiative, study, research, and collaboration.
