Master of Fine Arts (MFA) students experience world-class facilities that support creative research. World-renowned faculty ensure that graduates of the program learn the techniques and concepts that will enable their work to take any direction they wish. MFA students have opportunities for competitive scholarships and TA appointments. We are committed to developing individuals who challenge contemporary standards while producing work of exceptional craftsmanship and critical thought.

Theatre Arts

Emphasizing the training of professional practitioners or professional teachers of the theatre practice, the Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts is a terminal professional degree that provides intensive concentration in arts administration, design, performance and pedagogy, or playwriting. A minimum of 60 hours is required beyond the baccalaureate. Completion of the MFA degree requires a written thesis or a thesis project.

The MFA program is a professional training program that provides rigorous instruction and practical opportunities, on an in-depth level, in one area of specialization.
