Texas Tech University

Supplemental travel funding request for Significant Initiatives

Faculty may request supplemental travel funding*, up to $1500, in support of significant initiatives. Examples of significant initiatives can be at the national or international level and include performances, presentations, lectures or exhibits that demonstrate impact on curriculum development, faculty research and creative activities, and/or engaged scholarship. Events can be discipline specific, collaborative, interdisciplinary, and/or something that fosters collaboration with national or international partners and institutions. While increased visibility of faculty research and creative activities can impact recruitment positively, this funding is not directly in support of recruitment activities.

*Travel requests must include detailed budgets. Funds towards transportation must be via airfare (main cabin) or ground transportation.
