Innovate Texas Tech Mentor Program (iTTU) serves as the cornerstone of entrepreneurship and innovation at the Hub. Mentors are chosen for their experience, investment and technical know-how, authority and resources to aid in the launch of new enterprises, and willingness to support the west Texas entrepreneurial eco-system. Mentors act as ambassadors for entrepreneurship and will have many opportunities to support the spirit of entrepreneurship. iTTU mentors are selected for their experience in areas relevant to the needs of new entrepreneurs and for their enthusiasm for the program.
Relationships between mentors and entrepreneurs are formed based on the needs of the entrepreneur and the interests of available mentors. iTTU Mentor assistance is given across a broad range of business activity including product development, marketing, intellectual property law, finance, human resources, and founder's issues. iTTU Mentor services are offered without charge to students, alumni, faculty and staff in west Texas. iTTU Mentor Program complements and works cooperatively with the many TTUS centers and programs promoting entrepreneurship and providing many resources to encourage formation of businesses and to move technological knowledge from the laboratory to the marketplace.
All TTUS mentors are available for office hours. Meet with some of the most innovative, creative and seasoned experts in the venture space. In these one-on-one meetings, angel and venture investors, leaders of manufacturer companies, attorneys, accountants, technology experts, physicians, scientists and serial entrepreneurs share their insight, experience and advice in order to help you take your startup to launch. All mentors received training and follow our Guiding Principles to best serve "you" the entrepreneur in a safe learning environment. We follow the MIT Venture Mentoring Service (VMS) methodology.
