Phil Johnson, Ph.D.

Dr. Phillip Johnson has been a member of the Agricultural and Applied Economics faculty since 1994. His primary teaching responsibilities have been in agribusiness finance, financial analysis, and property appraisal. His current research focus is on the economics of agricultural water management and policy issues. Dr. Johnson is the Charles C. Thompson Chair of Agricultural Finance and the Director of the Thornton Agricultural Finance Institute. He coordinates the Annual Bankers Agricultural Credit Conference and serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Agricultural Cooperative Council.
