Upward Bound Math & Science

The Upward Bound Math & Science Program (UBMS) at Texas Tech University is a college preparatory initiative for Estacado High School and Monterey High School students. This program helps students of all backgrounds recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science and encourages participants to major in and successfully graduate with a post-secondary degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline.

Our vision is to establish our reputation as a state model of preeminent college preparatory services and become the college preparatory service of choice for potential first-generation students interested in STEM fields.
