Horse Judging Contests

The horse judging team competes at several events throughout the fall semester.
They will judge the conformation of mares, stallions or geldings and several performance classes such as Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Western Horsemanship, Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Hack, Hunter Under Saddle, Pleasure Driving, Trail, Ranch Riding, Reining and Working Cow Horse.
They will also have to defend their placings on selected classes by giving a set of oral reasons.
At the NRHA and NCHA Futurity contests, competitors will take a Rule Book Test, Penalty Clip Test and judge live runs.
