Student Worker Program
The Texas Tech Equestrian Center Student Worker Program provides hands-on experience
in equine care, facility management, and event operations. Students gain valuable
skills in horse handling, maintenance, and customer service while supporting daily
operations of the center. This program fosters responsibility, teamwork, and leadership
within a professional equine facility environment.
Student workers' duties include feeding and watering horses, cleaning stalls, assisting
with turnout, and preparing arenas for lessons, practices, and events. Students also
help with show setup and teardown, perform general maintenance tasks, and occasionally
assist with boarder communications. Through these hands-on responsibilities, participants
gain valuable experience in equine care, teamwork, and facility management.
