50th Anniversary

This year marks a significant milestone for Heritage and Museum Sciences at Texas Tech University as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of its graduate program. Established in 1974, the program has flourished, becoming a beacon of academic excellence and professional preparation in the field. Over the past five decades, more than 640 dedicated professionals have emerged from this program. These alumni now serve in pivotal roles at museums and heritage properties across the globe. As we honor this golden jubilee, we reflect on the program's enduring legacy and look forward to continuing its tradition of excellence for many years to come.
