Halkano Michael Hargura
SPOTLIGHT: Halkano Michael Hargura has more than 13 years of experience in the education sector. Currently, Halkano is head teacher at Ruso Primary School, where he focuses on educating pastoralist children. Halkano is also co-founder of the Qabale Duba Foundation, which empowers communities through education. He is specifically responsible for the foundation's adult literacy program. As a youth coordinator volunteer, he plans youth activities within his diocese. Halkano holds a bachelor's degree in Education and is finishing his master's degree in Education Management, Administration, and Leadership. He is passionate about empowering communities through education, and feels that furthering his own education will help him fully realize his goals and aspirations. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Halkano plans to use his new knowledge and skills to serve the great leaders of tomorrow in schools and communities in rural Kenya.
