Why did you want to be a Departmental Ambassador?
Becoming an Ambassador was important to me because I am passionate about kinesiology and being able to help further this major and promote it with fun events sounded so enticing. College is a 4-year experience, give or take, and it's only as good as you make it. Getting involved around campus maximizes your experience and lands you contacts that will potentially help you a lot in the future.

Why did you choose to be a Kinesiology/Sport Management Major?
I chose Kinesiology as one of my majors because learning the mechanics of the body will help me long-term and allow me to become more knowledgeable prior to attending medical school.

What is your advice to incoming freshman?
A piece of advice I wish I could stress to freshman is that there will always be something going on at this campus, or around town. It takes a lot of self-control to stay in, but this is not high school anymore and your GPA does matter, so stay in and study and do not let FOMO get you and your GPA down.

Future Career/Goals
In the future, I hope to become an orthopedic surgeon and specialize in sports medicine. Kinesiology is preparing me by giving me insight/a headstart to the bodily roles/functions so hopefully I won't be dead lost my first year in medical school.

Hobbies
My hobbies are shopping, studying, any sports (I relive my glory days in intramurals) and watching Netflix/Hulu with my dog, Mocha.

Interesting Fact
I can move my ears

Why did you choose to be a Kinesiology/Sport Management Major?
To me, no matter what field you go into, this department's objective is getting its students to a place where they help people and give them hope when they have none. It's about guiding them to a place where they reach their dreams and see their own potential. I chose this field because that's what I want to accomplish in life not only for myself but for others too.

I felt it was a great opportunity to help build my skills and knowledge that will help me after I move on and graduate from Texas Tech; while also helping improve our Sport Management department and leaving it better than when I arrived.

Why did you choose to be a Kinesiology/Sport Management Major?
I have played sports my whole life and it is all I have really been interested in. Now that I no longer play, it only made sense for me to move on and find another career involved with sports. I cannot see myself working in any other industry.

Why did you want to be a Departmental Ambassador?
Becoming an Ambassador has many benefits. I wanted to become an Ambassador not only to support the Kinesiology department, but also to exemplify leadership and be there for my peers to help when they need it. College can be rough, especially if you are moving from home, Ambassadors are those that I used to look up to and seek advice from, because they are in the position they are in for being studious and responsible.

Why did you choose to be a Kinesiology/Sport Management Major?
I chose Kinesiology as my major because I have always been interested in biomechanics and how the body works. Growing up playing sports you get to see the differences in everyone and how their body works. So, if I was so fascinated by it as a kid, why not study it and apply it the rest of my life!

What is your advice to incoming freshman?
My biggest piece of advice for incoming freshman is not to be afraid of anything. There are thousands of students in the same boat you are in, so don't be afraid to make friends, ask questions, seek advice, and always Strive for Honor. Things are so much easier when you have people there willing to help you.
