Computer and Technology Services
The Texas Tech Department of Landscape Architecture maintains a dedicated staff to support the demanding computational, IT and technology needs of the department.
TTU DoLA facilities include:
- A collaborative design studio
- An undergraduate computer lab
- A graduate-level design studio
- the Greenscapes Project studio
- A multi-project Research and Development lab
The department maintains over 50 graphics workstations and computers, most configured with hi-resolution, dual-screen monitors. A wide variety of state-of-the-art commercial and academic software packages available on these systems. Current software packages available on DoLA workstations include*:

Additionally, DoLA provides a variety of modern, high-end printers, large-format plotters, cameras, and projectors available for use by the faculty, researchers and students.
The DoLA physical facilities are outfitted with gigabit ethernet connections and hosts one of the best wireless access systems on the campus. The CATS (Computer and Technology Services) group is also responsible for managing the Active Directory Aspects of the department's dedicated file servers hosted at a centralized TTU support facility (TOSM).
