2025 Audition Information

2025 Goin' Band audition music and criteria for wind players is now available. Please visit the Music Audition page for more details.

Drum line audition material will be available by June 1, 2025 and those auditions will be held in person and on campus in August during Summer Band.

Anyone interested in audition for the Color Guard should visit the Texas Tech Colorguard Page. 

2025 Goin' Band Scholarship

Summer Band

Summer Band is a required week-long training camp held the week prior to the start of the fall semester. During that week we work on music and marching fundamentals, and learn the drill and music for our pregame and halftime shows. The Summer Band 2025 dates are August 16-22. There will be an opening session for new members on the evening of Friday, August 15, 2025.  

Visual Mini-Camps

We offer an optional instructional camp for wind players in July (no instruments required). This 3-hour mini-camp gives all potential members an opportunity to learn our marching technique prior to Summer Band. Dates and locations for summer 2025 mini-camps are below. Established in 1925, the Goin' Band from Raiderland is the oldest student organization on campus. Proud to uphold the traditions of Texas Tech University, the Goin' Band is committed to performing exciting field shows that connect with all generations, as well as providing music to promote school spirit and enhance the game day experience!
