My career path reflects a unique blend of creativity, science, and leadership. I began in the arts, transitioned to veterinary technology and zoo medicine, and was later inspired to pursue a career dedicated to wildlife and ecosystem health. Today, I bring this diverse background together in my role as a Research Associate at Texas Tech University.
In line with Davis Colleges Pursuit of Prime, I strive for excellence by driving projects forward with vision and precision. I lead logistics for large-scale wildlife research, manage our laboratory, coordinate teams, and ensure projects move from concept to completion. My skills span grant writing, project management, stakeholder engagement, and science communication, allowing me to connect researchers, students, and partners.
I thrive in roles that integrate veterinary science, ecology, and project leadership. My strengths lie in motivating our team, solving problems creatively, and translating complex research into practical outcomes that benefit ecosystems and communities, both human and animal. I am passionate about advancing work that improves the health of wildlife, people, and the environments we share.
