Learning Center
The Learning Center recognizes student success is a shared effort. We can create positive, impactful experiences that benefit both students and the Red Raider community by collaborating with faculty, staff, and campus partners.
How we support you:
- Professional Development: Customized sessions to strengthen teaching and student support strategies.
- Presentations: Classroom or program visits to connect students with Learning Center resources.
- Partnerships: Opportunities to co-create initiatives with faculty and staff that enhance student learning and engagement.
Supplental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is actively exploring new partnerships with faculty and departments. Supplemental Instruction is generally provided for courses that have an overall enrollment of 200 or more students, and where there are a high number of Ds, Fs, or withdrawal rates from the course.
Faculty members are not required to work with SI Leaders. However, we encourage them to meet with an SI Leader on a monthly basis. SI Leaders are required to sit-in on a Section of a Course like a regular student, so they know what content to cover in SI Sessions. We encourage our SI Leaders to make an announcement about available Sessions during the first week of class with permission from the instructor.
