Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction Staff

Supplemental Instruction (SI) offers a unique peer-to-peer learning experience through interactive group review sessions created specifically for historically challenging courses. These sessions help deepen understanding of key concepts, develop effective study strategies, build confidence, and form meaningful connections with classmates and the campus community.

SI Sessions are led by SI Leaders—undergraduate students who previously earned an A in the course and are trained in facilitation, learning strategies, and collaborative techniques. Instead of lecturing, they guide you through structured activities that encourage problem-solving, discussion, and hands-on practice while creating a supportive learning environment.

Available Courses & Session Schedule

SI Sessions are available for select courses each semester based on student enrollment, historical course difficulty, and need. No registration or appointment is required to attend.

If your course is supported this semester, you're welcome to attend any SI Session. SI Leaders partner with instructors to reinforce course concepts, prepare for exams, and help you build effective study strategies alongside your classmates.

Find Your Course & Schedule

Session times and locations for each course are grouped into weekly schedules. Session times and locations are also sent through RaiderCanvas each week.

Raider Reviews

In addition to weekly SI sessions, the Learning Center offers Raider Reviews. Raider Reviews are special sessions focused on potential exam topics.

Raider Reviews are an opportunity for:

  • Extra practice on challenging material
  • A chance to ask last-minute questions
  • Focused preparation for upcoming tests
