Research History and Goal

IMMS research is based on more than 80 years of the combined academic and federal research achievement to support multidisciplinary efforts from the exploratory, basic, and applied research to concept and technology demonstrations.

IMMS research's ultimate goal is to mature and transition highly efficient computation methods, engineered materials, advanced manufacturing, and adaptive capabilities to support the development of sustainable; smart; and autonomous civil and military platforms, power and energy systems, and infrastructures.
