Who Makes a Great SECC Coordinator?

A great SECC Coordinator is someone who enjoys connecting with others and has a heart for making a difference. A coordinator does not need to be a fundraising expert or have previous SECC experience. The most successful coordinators are simply enthusiastic about helping others and comfortable sharing the campaign with their colleagues.

Strong coordinators are:
Connected – Familiar with their department and comfortable engaging with coworkers.
Communicative – Willing to share SECC information, reminders, and opportunities to participate.
Creative – Brings ideas and energy to promoting the campaign in ways that work for their department.
Encouraging – Helps create excitement while recognizing that giving is always a personal choice.
Service-minded – Has a servant’s heart and a desire to strengthen our campus and community.

Most importantly, you are not doing it alone. The SECC team provides coordinators with resources, ideas, and support throughout the campaign. You bring the connection to your department, and we will provide the tools to help you succeed.
