The ultimate goal of the Learning Center is to provide a student with the resources needed to obtain academic independence and success. Through positive interaction and effective communication, a peer tutor is able to create an educational environment that inspires a student to develop autonomous learning strategies.

The Learning Center offers FREE drop-in tutoring in subjects such as Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accounting, and Engineering (and many others).

*Due to the impending weather in Lubbock and with safety in mind, the Learning Center will close at 12pm today (1/23) through Sunday (1/25)*

Spring 2026 Hours of Operation:

Monday - Thursday: 8am-8pm, Friday: 8am-5pm

Saturday - Sunday: 12pm-6pm (see Weekend Schedule below)

Learning Center peer tutoring will take place in Room 164 (Drane Hall).

Peer Tutoring at the Library will take place in Room 132 (Research HUB).

Peer Tutoring at Chitwood/Weymouth Halls will take place in Room 135 (Chitwood Hall side).

Peer Tutoring at Murray Hall will take place in Room 188 (across from Sam's Place).

Peer Tutoring at Talkington Hall will take place in Room 104 (down the hall from information desk).
