The Ranching Heritage Association (RHA) is the primary support organization for the Ranching Heritage Center. The RHA's predecessor is the Snyder Unit -- Ranch Headquarters Association.

Through the years, the RHA has sponsored several annual events. Each year since 1978 the RHA has presented the Golden Spur Award to a distinguished member of the ranching community. Between 1982 and 1988 the RHA sponsored the National Western Artists Show & Sale. RHA was also an original organizer of the National Cowboy Symposium, but discontinued the arrangement in 1992. Separate reference files are maintained for each event or organization. A complete set of the Ranch Record is maintained in periodicals.
