Our Mission: The Texas Tech University Center for Transformative Undergraduate Experiences (TrUE) works to ensure that every undergraduate student has the opportunity to engage in high-impact educational practices while earning their degree.
More About TrUE: Situated under the Office of the Provost, TrUE works to support the development, enhancement, and scaling of high-impact educational practices (HIP) for undergraduate students across Texas Tech University. TrUE broadly supports efforts across the full spectrum of the Association of American Colleges & Universities HIP Framework at three levels of support:
- Produced by TrUE: Programming directly developed and executed by TrUE staff. Marquee programming in this portfolio includes TrUE Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities Project Funding, Raider Service Breaks, and TrUE Scholars.
- Supported by TrUE: Programs developed outside of TrUE receiving long-term financial and/or in-kind support from the Center. Signature programming in this portfolio include the TTU Undergraduate Research Conference, Plains Bridges to the Baccalaureate, and TrUE Transformers.
- Sparked by TrUE: Pilot programming developed outside of TrUE with intensive up-front financial and/or in-kind support from the Center. These projects are developed in direct collaboration with TTU faculty, traditionally for timespans of a year or less.
